Link Health Score: 100/100251 cannibalized phrases resolved131 redirects746 low-value pages removed

Executive Summary

Over the past weeks, we ran a full internal-link audit on drdeon.co.za and resolved every major issue. We grouped 251 cannibalized anchor phrases and resolved them against a chosen canonical destination. We reviewed 158 clusters of competing or duplicate pages and set up 131 redirects to the strongest page in each group. We removed 485 orphan pages (no internal links pointing in) and 261 dead-end pages (no internal links pointing out) — 135 of which were both isolated and isolated-out.

The result: a link health score of 100/100, a tighter index, clearer topical authority, and a clean two-level Circle Silo network that organises every page on the site into the right topical neighbourhood. The three detailed reports below show the full work.

Issues Resolved

Every category of internal-link issue detected in the original audit is now resolved:

Orphan pagesDead-end pagesAnchor text cannibalizationDuplicate contentLink equity leakage

Why This Matters

  • Cleaner crawl budget. Google spends less time on isolated or duplicate pages and more on your real content.
  • Stronger pillar pages. Link equity is consolidated into the chosen canonicals instead of being split across competing URLs.
  • No more anchor cannibalization. Every phrase has a single clear destination — Google never has to guess which page should rank.
  • Tight topical silos. Every page sits within a clear neighbourhood of related content, sending strong relevance signals.
  • Better user experience. Visitors always land on the strongest, most relevant page for what they searched.
  • Scalable structure. New content drops into the right sub-pillar circle without breaking the architecture.

What May Change Along the Way

  • Ranking positions will continue to settle over the next 4–8 weeks as Google re-evaluates the new structure.
  • The remaining 23% of sub-pillars in the silo network will be filled in with support content over time.
  • Search Console may show temporary fluctuations as redirected URLs are removed from the index.
  • New content will be slotted into the right silo automatically, keeping the architecture intact as the site grows.
  • We will continue to monitor for new cannibalization, orphans, or dead-ends as new pages are published.
